Fantastic canal and canal side holidays for people with disabilities
The Lyneal Trust is a registered charity that provides holidays and canal boat trips for people with disabilities with their families, friends or in groups from its base at Lyneal Wharf.
The Trust owns and maintains two canal boats and four holiday cottages, which are specially designed and built for people with disabilities. They are all available for hire at competitive rates.
All our facilities can be hired separately or in combinations together, by anyone who considers they have a disability, and their family and friends.
Lyneal Wharf cottage
Why not treat yourself to a holiday away from it all in our canal side self catering cottage. Set in large gardens the cottage is fully disabled friendly and can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people.
Shropshire Lass canal boat
Why not spend your holiday on our residential canal boat The Shropshire Lass and cruise the beautiful waterways of the Llangollen Canal.
The Lass can comfortably sleep up to eight people (or carry 12 passengers) and has full wheelchair access, a disabled friendly interior and hydraulic steering that enables all, including wheelchair users, to take part in the running of the boats.
Shropshire Lad dayboat
Looking for a relaxing day out on the canal? The Lad is an ideal boat for those day trips around the local canals. Stop for some lunch at a local pub, or sail over the majestic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
The Lad can carry up to 12 passengers and also has full wheelchair access, a disabled friendly interior and hydraulic steering that enables all, including wheelchair users, to take part in the running of the boats.
